JAMMU: All J and K SRTC VRS employees on Thursday staged protest against callous approach of the J and K SRTC and Finance Department for not clearing their pending dues.
Led by President of J and K SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association Union, Dev Raj Bali, the retired employees assembled in front of Press Club Jammu and raised slogans in support of their demands.
While addressing the VRS employees, Bali strongly criticised the attitude of the State Government for not clearing the pending dues of Sixth Pay Commission whereas the Central Government has implemented Seventh Pay Commission.
The agitating SRTC VRS employees y appealed to the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to clear their pending dues at the earliest.
Among those who joined the protest include Prem Nath, Balwinder Singh, Surinder Singh, J.D Singh, B.B Sharma, Kulbir Singh and Dwarka Nath.
