CISF staffer dares snatchers, restores bag to owner in New Delhi

NEW DELHI: Constable Bhanwar Lal Choudhary deployed in Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad of CISF Unit Delhi Airport Metro Express Line while moving in the market near Seelampur Metro Station noticed that two persons driving a motorbike snatched a bag from a person and fled away. Choudhary chased the miscreants. Fortunately, the road was blocked as many vehicles were standing due to traffic red light. Both the miscreants on motorcycle could not get space to run away. Without loss of time, Choudhary snatched the bag from the miscreants. Both the miscreants managed to escape by driving the Motor Cycle on wrong side. Constable Bhanwar Lal Choudhary handed over the recovered bag to his owner namely Firoz Khan, resident of Old Seelampur, New Delhi. Firoz Khan expressed his thankfulness to Constable Bhanwar Lal Choudhary for his prompt action and courage while restoring his bag containing cash and jewellery.
On getting the information about bravery and courage shown by Bhanwar, Director General CISF Arvind Ranjan announced that he will be suitably rewarded for his exemplary act of bravery.
