CISF organises mass promotion-cum-pipping ceremony

NEW DELHI: A mass promotion-cum-pipping ceremony of CISF personnel (Non-Gazetted Rank) was organized at CISF Hqrs, New Delhi and simultaneously at all the Sectors/Zonal Headquarters across India. A total of 3,711 non-gazetted personnel have been promoted all over India.
Kumar Rajesh Chandra, Director General, CISF, Sudhir Kumar Saxena, SDG (HQrs), P S Phalnikar, ADG (APS), Prateek Mohanty, IG (Pers) and other Senior Officers of CISF were present during the ceremony at CISF Headquarters.
The ceremony witnessed immense pride & enthusiasm amongst the promoted personnel.
DG CISF himself took this welfare initiative for the force personnel and gave directions to promote the force personnel (NGOs) to their next rank.
To implement this welfaristic agenda, the officers and staff of CISF HQrs pursued hard and maintained liaison & coordination with MHA, for promoting the force personnel.
Granting the promotion en-masse to the force personnel, is a visionary step and a positive move to uphold the motivation of the personnel.
A total of 3711 various ranks in non-gazetted category including seven Assistant Sub-Inspector/Steno to Sub-Inspector/Steno, 1669 Head Constable/GD to Asstt. Sub Inspector/Exe, 46 Head Constable/Fire & DCPO to Asstt. Sub Inspector/Fire, 1949 Constable/GD to Head Constable/GD and 40 Constable/Fire to Head Constable/Fire have been promoted all over India.
Keeping in view, the COVID menace and guidelines of social distancing, only a few personnel were invited from Delhi-NCR Units & IGI Airport for putting their rank on promotion during the pipping ceremony held at CISF HQrs, New Delhi. DG CISF and other Senior Officers of CISF present during the function put ranks to these Sub-Officers and other rank personnel.
DG, CISF congratulated all the promoted Sub-Officers and personnel. He said that regular promotions to the personnel go a long way in enhancing our capabilities and also motivates other personnel to improve and aspire for similar promotion.
It thus improves the overall employee morale and job satisfaction and thereby promotes the development of the organization as personnel feel connected with their organization and willingly give their best for its effective functioning and growth, he added.
