JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Tuesday slammed the opposition for defaming the country for petty political gains.
Replying to questions by media persons, Chugh accused the Congress Member Parliament for igniting the situation in Manipur by visiting the affected areas again and again.
“What is the intent behind his frequent visits”, he asked. To another question, Tarun Chg\ugh described as serious the sharing of Parliamentary Login ID (by TMC MP Mahua Moita), which is exclusively meant for the parliamentarian, and said this is insult to the highest temple of democracy in the country. He said the truth must come to fore one by one. He said that it was a case of serious nature and should be thoroughly investigated by the Ethics Committee. Strict action should be taken against those guilty, he added. Chugh said the issue is all the more serious given the reports that money and favours have been bestowed to the MP for raising motivated questions.
