JAMMU: Governor N.N Vohra has asked Chief Secretary B.R. Sharma to hold an urgent meeting along with the Finance Secretary and all the Administrative Secretaries on 28th and 29th January in connection with Budget preparation for finalisation of Revised Estimates for financial year 2015-16 and the Budget Estimates for the next financial year i.e. 2016-17.
The Governor has asked the Chief Secretary to prioritise various demands of all departments in respect of all ongoing and new works, keeping in view the felt needs in each sector.
The Raj Bhavan spokesperson added that Governor will himself hold a meeting on 30th January 2016 with the Chief Secretary, Finance Secretary and all Administrative Secretaries to finalise the Budget (2016-17).
Meanwhile, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Danish Rana, IGP Jammu, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, here on Sunday to invite him for the Republic Day Parade at Moulana Azad Stadium, Jammu.
Dr. Kotwal and Rana briefed the Governor about the arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations and about the obtaining law and order situation.
