Chenab Challenge-River Rafting Championship-2016 concludes Army team wins 200-mtr sprint rafting

REASI: The Chenab Challenge-River Rafting Championship 2016 culminated with Indian Army team bagging first position in 200-meter sprint rafting event and Border Security Force team securing second position.
The rafting championship was organised by Directorate of Tourism, Jammu in River Chenab at Baradari, here.
The closing ceremony and prize distribution was graced by Chief Guest, Namrita Dogra, Joint Director Tourism Department, who opined that the events of such nature will promote adventure sports in the State and encourage people and sportsperson to visit Reasi.
“All the participating teams were satisfied with their performance and enjoyed rafting experience in the turbulent currents of river Chenab at Baradari,” Defence Spokespersons, Ministry of Defence, S.D Goswami said.
“Participants also expressed gratitude to the army authorities for providing necessary administrative and logistic support for the conduct of the event,” Goswami added.
