Petitioner seeks former Div Com be added as respondent
JAMMU: An application has been filed to implead then Divisional Commissioner, Jammu presently Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India Sudhanshu Pandey seeking direction for him to file an affidavit explaining why he did not conducted the enquiry into Chatta-Sunjwan land scam.
In a petition filed against alleged hushing up in the land scam pertaining to Government land at Village Chatta, Sunjwan, Jammu which was treated by the High Court as Public Interest Litigation on Wednesday took new turn when applicant S.K Bhalla filed an application to implead Sudhanshu Pandey as party respondent seeking direction for him to file a comprehensive affidavit explaining his position for not conducting the enquiry into the land scam ordered vide Govt. Order No.05-GAD of 2008 dated 1st January, 2008 and also to disclose the names of officers/ officials in the Government who advised him not to proceed in the matter. JNF
