Dear Editor,
India’s past policies to flatter Pakistan and China, at the cost of our national security, as enunciated by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, was kept alive by successive governments. This must now give way to an active and strong alliance among India, Japan and the US. The policy of non-alignment has only made us weak and many soldiers have lost their lives. It has augmented our social divisions and ravaged the unity and integrity of our country.
