Chandigarh wins Jammu Masters Badminton League

JAMMU: Chandigarh emerged winner of the Jammu Masters Badminton League Tournament held at Badminton Hall of the District Police Lines (DPL) here on Sunday. Chandigarh defeated Doon Blaster (Uttrakhand) in the final played on Sunday.
The league organised by Clobbers and Kings Badminton Club under the aegis of Jammu City and District Badminton Association was inaugurated by Bharti Vaid, Chairperson Police Wives Welfare Association on September 30.
A total of 84 matches were played amongst teams of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand and Jammu and Kashmir.
In the closing ceremony, Dilbagh Singh, Director General Police was the Chief Guest who distributed prizes amongst winners and runners up players. He showed interest in the overall development of sports infrastructure and badminton in particular in the State.
