POONCH: Defeating Pinto Club by 3-0 (26-24, 26-24, 25-23) sets in the summit clash, Chandak Volleyball Club, Poonch lifted the title trophy of the District Volleyball Championship, organised by District Volleyball Association Poonch in collaboration with district unit of Sports Council under the aegis of Volleyball Association of J and K, at Sports Stadium, here on Sunday. The final was officiated by the technical panel comprising Narinder Singh, Varinder Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Neeraj Kumar and Sourab Sharma.
In the closing ceremony, MLA Haveli Shah Mohd Tantray was the Chief Guest, who gave away trophies to winner and runner up teams.
Others present were Krishan Lal Sharma Secretary District Volleyball Association Poonch, Sham Lal Sharma (Retd) SAI Hockey Coach, Ram Saroop Principal BHSS Poonch, Mustaq Ahmed Boxing Coach, Ved Prakash, Ravinder Singh, Narjeet Singh I/c DYSSO Poonch, Tanveer Dar Youth President Poonch PDP, Ram Prakash and Pawan Kumar.
The championship was conducted under supervision of Nirdosh Kumar, I/C Sports Stadium Poonch.
