Chairman PHSC reviews drinking water connections in Jammu

JAMMU: Chairman, Public Health Sanitation Committee Raj Kumar Tarkhan, along with Corporators, Sobat Ali and Rajinder Singh, on Saturday chaired a meeting of the Health and Sanitation Committee to address the problems being faced by the general public regarding drinking water connections, tubewells and water leakage.
The meeting was attended by the Joint Commissioner (Health & Sanitation), Kulbushan Khajuria, Secretary, Parvinder Kour, and other field officers/officials of the Jal Shakti Department (PHE) , UEED, JKPDCL & JKSWARA.
The officers of the Jal Shakti Department were asked to ensure plugging of leakages and directions were issued for framing the estimates for all such tube wells which do not have boundary walls.
Besides, it was also directed by the Chairman, Public Health & Sanitation Committee to make the process of regularization of existing unregistered water connections easy and all works will be done beat-wise in all the wards of the Municipal Corporation.
