Chairman JKCA hands over cheque to late Barjinder’s family

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) on Monday handed over a cheque amounting to Rs 2 lakh to the family of former member and cricketer late Barjinder Singh.
The cheque was handed over by Arvinder Singh Micky, Chairman JKCA to Suresh Kumari, wife of late Barjinder Singh at their residence at Panjthirthi, here. The decision to handover of cheque was taken by Dr Farooq Andullah, President JKCA in the recently held meeting of office bearers at Srinagar. The JKCA President during the course of the meeting, while lauding the glorious contribution of late Barjinder Singh, recalled his self less service to the game both as a cricketer of repute and as a cricket administrator.
Others present were Working Committee members Romesh Mahajan, Ankush Abrol, Rajesh Dhar and Ashok Dutta and Varinder Malhotra.
