GANDERBAL: The Central Awareness Observer of Election Commission of India, Y.K Bawja, convened a meeting with the Nodal Officers of district Ganderbal to review the work done regarding election awareness at Mini Secretariat Ganderbal on Tuesday.
The Observer was briefed about basic minimum facilities at Polling Stations, training of polling personnel, appointment and training of Nodal, Sectoral and Zonal Officers, EP ratio, photo electoral rolls, among other aspects of smooth conduct of elections.
District Election Officer, Ganderbal, Sarmad Hafeez provided information related to work done to bring awareness among people regarding elections as well as election preparedness to the Observer through a presentation.
The Nodal Officers discussed in detail different programmes organised to bring awareness among masses regarding their right to vote.
The District Election Officer briefed the Observer about the efforts put in by officers to enhance the voter turnout in the upcoming elections. He also gave a detailed resume of election preparedness at polling stations level besides various other plans related to election.
