Celebrations mark appointment of National President Indian Youth Congress

JAMMU: Activists of Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) on Saturday celebrated the appointment of Raja Amrinder Singh Brar as National President of Indian Youth Congress (INC) at a function organised here.
The programme was organised by State President of INC, Shahnawaz Choudhary, in which State Vice President, Pranav Shagotra, State General Secretary, Manjeet Singh and State Secretary, Rajveer Singh were also present.
Shahnawaz Choudhary said that Brar deserved the post and we expect Youth Congress touching new heights under his leadership. He also thanked Rajiv Satav, the outgoing National President and said that Youth Congress worked for the people in the past under his leadership and he also became the member of Lok Sabha because of his contribution to the society as the president of Youth Congress. He added that Raja had been In-charge of J and K State when he was General Secretary of Youth Congress and J and K PYC will prove itself as the corner stone of the youth leadership of the country under his supervision and guidance.
Pranav Shagotra said that Brar was a General Secretary in the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) before he was sent to contest the last Assembly elections in Punjab and won the seat from Gidderbaha Assembly Constituency. He added that immediate priority of Youth Congress would be to strengthen the organisation by enrolling youth in large numbers from booth level onwards and expose the failures of the BJP-led Central Government by holding protests and other programmes.
Others who were present on the occasion include Jatinder Chib, AYC President, Gandhi Nagar, Ajaz Choudhary, AYC President Mendhar, Shabir Kohli, Advocate Joginder Thakur, Ajay Kumar, Parikshit Shagotra, Anoop Gupta, Anil Kumar and Dinesh Puri.
