SRINAGAR: Civil Defence Organisation Srinagar organized a five days Disaster Preparedness training programme at Scholar’s School, Dara Harwan. The training started on Monday which was inaugurated by Deputy Controller Civil Defence Srinagar Mohammed Shafi in presence of Deputy Chief Warden CD Aamir Ali, who is also Executive Director and Secretary, J and K State Social Welfare Board.

The training was imparted by CD Trainers, Ghulam Nabi, Javeed Ahmed, Reyaz Ahmed and Showket Ahmed and was supervised by ASI (M) Shabir Ahmed Khan. The training was attended by Principal Mir Tariq Maqsood, Incharge programme Ajaz Ahmed Lone and Khurshid Ahmed Butt alongwith more than 100 students and staff.

The five days training will cover topics and practical on First Aid, Fire Fighting, Search and Rescue. Besides the students will also be imparted special training as first responders. Speaking on the occasion Aamir Ali implored the students to learn these life-saving skills, so that the  knowledge can be utilized in the event of any emergencies.
