JAMMU: Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI), Jammu has expressed grief over the loss of lives in the Amarnath cloudburst tragedy on Friday evening. In this context, a meeting was held at Chamber House under the chairmanship of Arun Gupta, President CCI Jammu in which office bearers Anil Gupta, Sr. Vice President, Rajiv Gupta, Jr. Vice President ,Sh. Gaurav Gupta, Secretary-General, Rajesh Gupta, Secretary, Rajesh Gupta, Treasurer were present. CCI President expressed deep heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls and fast recovery of the injured. He urged LG administration to announce ex-gratia relief for the victim families and free-of-cost treatment for those injured in the incident.
Arun Gupta appealed to the general public to come forward and extend all possible help to the pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra which will undoubtedly help in further strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, compassion and righteousness which is the dire need of the hour especially in the Valley. He said that after concluding their sojourn in J&K they will carry back memories as our ambassadors to their respective states thus not only promoting communal harmony and brotherhood but also further strengthening the secular fabric of the nation.
