CCI delegation calls on Pr Comm IT, discusses issue

JAMMU: President, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rakesh Gupta along with newly elected team of office bearers on Wednesday called upon the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Sangeeta Gupta and expressed concern over the recent surveys being conducted in Jammu.
The Chamber President assured the Principal Commissioner that the businessmen of Jammu are a tax complainant society and are paying taxes honestly and as such we do not expect the Income Tax Department to visit the premises of various business houses which creates an atmosphere of panic and mental harassment for the assesses.
The Principal Commissioner Income Tax assured the Chamber team that no good tax payer shall be harassed and in case the department feels that they are unable to get response to their notices they shall convey the same to the Chamber team for cooperation.
President CCI was accompanied by Rajesh Gupta, Senior Vice President, Rajeev Gupta, Junior Vice President, Manish Gupta, Secretary General, Gaurav Gupta, Secretary and Ashu Gupta, Treasurer.
