JAMMU: Seeking resignation of CBSE chairman, CBSE students on Monday intensified protest against the leakage of Class 10 Maths and Class 12 Economics papers.
The students assembled near Dogra Chowk and raised slogans against the Central Board of Secondary Education. They demanded resignation of CBSE Chairman Anita Karwal and accused the board of negligence.
The agitating students alleged that they will not take part in the re-examination which has been announced as they have no part in the paper leakage.
They resented that due to the re-examination, they had to put on hold several travel plans as well as delay the preparation for various competitive examinations they were scheduled to take in future. They were being made to suffer due to a mistake by the CBSE and that the board was playing with their future by announcing a re-examination, they said.
The board has announced a re-examination of the Class 12 Economics paper on 25 April, while the re-test for the Class 10 Maths paper is likely to be conducted in July.
