JAMMU: The CBI on Tuesday conducted a surprise raid at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station , Jammu, where Sub-Inspector Vijay Goswami, posted at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station, was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe. Head Constable Riaz was also nabbed during the raid. Both police officials were immediately taken into custody by CBI team.
Sources reveal that a detailed investigation is underway to identify possible links and determine whether more officials are involved in the corruption nexus.
This action by the CBI sends a strong message against corruption within the system – no one is above the law.
