CB presents Challan against fradusters

JAMMU: Crime Branch Jammu on Monday presented Challan against Parb Dayal and Raman Sharma who duped people on the name of home business in the court City Judge Jammu.
According to the Crime Branch Case that a written complaint purportedly lodged by Joginder Singh, son of Raghunath Singh, resident of Tinday Kalan R.S Pura, Jammu, duly endorsed by Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu, was received in Crime Branch Jammu wherein the complainant had alleged that he came across an advertisement published regarding sale of disposal machines used for making disposable plates, Doonas etc. and accordingly approached the company officials and paid Rs. 2.30 lakh on 9th October, 2013 vide receipt No. 048 and 049 to one Raman Sharma, son of Devi Dayal Sharma R/o F-289/11 Shakti Nagar Jammu who promised to install the said machine within 15 days but there after refused to provide said machine and took away his money through deceitful means etc. The accused persons have collected lakhs of rupees from the gullible unemployed persons by fraudulent means and have gained wrongful pecuniary benefit for themselves causing huge wrongful loss to the victims. The swindled/duped money by the accused persons from the victims has been calculated to the tune of Rs. 28,60,000.
After completion of the investigation Crime Branch found that the offences under section 420,406,467,468,471,201,120-B RPC have been fully established against the accused persons namely Prab Dayal Singh, son of Ishar Singh, resident of Dhanwal Camp Akhnoor A/P Sarwal Jammu and Raman Sharma, son of Devi Dayal Sharma, resident of Palanwala Khour at present 207 Lajpat Nagar Canal Road Jammu.
