MIRAN SAHIB: A woman died while three others got injured when a cattle-shed collapsed at Miran Sahib on Tuesday.
According to a report, due to heavy rains a cattle-shed at Railway line Taali Morh Miran Sahib in the R.S Pura Constituency collapsed on Tuesday morning in which one female died and three others were injured including two females and one male. The deceased was identified as Balwant Kour (45) wife of S. Jagjeet Singh resident of Railway Line Malikpur, and the injured were identified as Jaswinder Kour (17) daughter of S. Ashok Singh, resident of Railway line Malikpur, Inderjeet Kour (40) wife of S. Rashpaul Singh, resident of Malikpur Basti Talli Morh and Ashok Singh (52) years son of Inder Singh, resident of Railway Line Malikpur,Talli Morh R.S Pura. A cow was also badly injured in the collapse, which was the lone source of income for the poor family.
MLA R S Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat along with several workers and prominent persons of the locality rushed to the spot and tried to help the victims. He also directed the administration to render every possible aid to the family of deceased and injured. He instructed DC Jammu Simrandeep Singh to provide free treatment to the injured through the Indian Red Cross Society. He also visited the house of the deceased Balwant Kour and assured the families of the deceased and injured that he is with them in this difficult time and will provide every possible help. He later on directed BDO Miran Sahib to provide house under Pradhanmantri Aawas Yojna (PAY) to the family of Ashok Singh.
