Stray cattle roaming around freely in the city has become a serious menace. The root cause of the problem is unplanned dairies, inside and around the city. The owners, after milking the cattle, leave them loose so that they can graze outside. Moreover, it becomes risky to drive during night hours. The government should set up Gaushalas in several places. Till then, the existing Gaushala authorities should adopt measures to reduce the stray cattle menace. The Municipal Corporation should also take it as a project and implement it with due sincerity.
