Businessman’s sons attack hotel staff over bill dispute in Trikuta Nagar

JAMMU: Chaos erupted in Trikuta Nagar last night when Mohit Aggarwal and Shashank Aggarwal, sons of a local businessman Rakesh Aggarwal, assaulted hotel staff over a bill payment dispute. The situation escalated as the Aggarwal brothers reportedly called in goons to mercilessly attack the hotel manager and staff, leaving the manager with severe head injuries. Rakesh Aggarwal, whose name had previously surfaced during investigations into the infamous Anara Sex Scandal, is now in the spotlight again due to his sons’ actions.

The incident took place at a well-known hotel in Trikuta Nagar, where the Aggarwal brothers initially refused to pay their bill, leading to a heated argument with the staff. Eyewitnesses reported that the brothers physically attacked the hotel employees during the altercation.
“The situation turned more violent when the brothers left, only to return with a group of goons who unleashed a brutal assault on the staff,” a hotel representative said. “The attackers showed no remorse. This is absolutely unacceptable.”
During the investigation, the name of one Arun Choudhary has also surfaced in the attack on hotel staff.
Local police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and initiated an investigation. A senior police officer confirmed the involvement of Mohit and Shashank Aggarwal, along with their accomplices, after reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel.
“Appropriate action will be taken against all those responsible,” the officer assured.
The attack has drawn widespread condemnation from the local community, with residents and activists calling for stringent action against the Aggarwal brothers and their associates.
“This is a gross abuse of privilege and power,” said a local resident. “Hotel staff and workers in the hospitality sector deserve respect and safety. Such incidents cannot be tolerated.”
