Burglary case solved; 2 arrested, stolen cash recovered

SRINAGAR: Police on Friday solved a burglary case at Awantipora and arrested two accused involved in the crime. Stolen cash was also recovered from them. As per details, on December 10, 2020, Police Station Awantipora received a written complaint from a person namely Shabir Ahmad Parray, resident of Larki Pora Awantipora that some unknown burglars have stolen cash from his Karyana shop located at Main market Awantipora. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 187/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Awantipora and investigation was initiated.
During course of investigation, officers inspected scene of crime including CCTV footage of the incident from aforesaid shop and identified two individuals involved in commission of crime. They were identified as Imran Ahmad Malla, son of Ghulam Mohammad Malla and Syed Zaffar Shah, son of Muzaffar Shah both residents of Yakhwanpora Parihaspora, Pattan. They were arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remained under custody. Stolen cash amounting to Rs 65,000 was also recovered from their possession.
During investigation, officers learnt that the accused persons have used an Alto car bearing registration number DL2CAL-1974 for the crime, which was also seized.
