SRINAGAR: During the intervening night of 24th /25th March 2017, an attempt was made to break into the donation box of a Gurdwara at Khampora Sarai in Chadoora, Budgam. In this connection, a case FIR number 15/2017 under Section 457, 380, 511, 295 RPC was registered and investigation is going on.
For speedy investigation and to nab the culprits, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the supervision of ASP Budgam was constituted.
In the meantime, the guard at the Gurduwara is being strengthened. The Deputy Commissioner and District Superintendent visited the spot and assured the Sikh community that the culprits will brought to book as soon as possible and all measures will be taken so that such incidents do not occur in future.
