BSF School wins basketball trophy

JAMMU: The BSF School clinched the Golden Jubilee CBSE Jammu Sahodaya (inter-school) Basketball Tournament, held here today. The BSF School hosted the event to mark the 50 years of existence of the force.
In the final, BSF School defeated MHAC Nagbani 36-35 in a well contested decider. Earlier, in the semifinals, BSF School defeated Air Force School 27-18 while MHAC Nagbani trounced KC Public School in a close contest 23-22.
Sahil Mottan from losers, MHAC Nagbani was adjudged as best player of the tournament for being highest scorer.
Deputy Inspector General (PSO), Jammu Frontier of the BSF, Ram Awtar was Chief Guest, who gave away winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes.
Vice president of BWWA, Kamlesh Ram Awtar was guest of honour. Among other distinguished gathering included DIG, S.M Mehta, Dharmendra Pareek (DIG), B.S Kasana (DIG Sector), Dr Vinod Kumar (Commandant-Medical) and the Principals of various participating educational institutions.
Earlier, Principal of host BSF School Jammu, Dr S.S Khokhar welcomed the chief guest and other distinguished gathering in the final and valedictory function of the three-day competition. Vote of thanks presented by Incharge Games and Sports, Veerji Pandita.
