BSF School introduces theatre to children

Border Security Force (BSF) School Paloura took the initiative to introduce theatre to their students in their ongoing summer camp where they teach art, sports, craft and painting.
Theatre was introduced to the 50 students as an art form that helps confidence building. To conduct a workshop on theatre, Aarushi Thakur, a trained actor from Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and associated with the Natrang was invited.
The Principal of the School, Dr S.S Khokhar said that he wishes to expose the children of his school to the best of the facilities and training programmes and give them world wide exposure so that they can excel beyond brilliance.
“Our education system unfortunately tends to be geared to exactly the opposite end. The competition and the pressure among children is leaving them terrified of education and in such cases theatre plays an important role in perspective change and to enhance a child’s creativity,” he said.
