BSF organises border tour of students

AKHNOOR : In series of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, , 33 Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) conducted a tour of meritorious students of St. Francis Higher Secondary School Akhnoor to forward border out posts along the International Border in Akhnoor sector.
These students were given on the spot exposure of difficult and challenging tasks undertaken by the BSF jawans, advance weaponry and surveillance equipments deployed to check infiltration and to secure the borders. A presentation on peace, safe and secure border of India was also made.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, Commandant, 33 BN BSF apprised about the functioning of BSF, which is largest border guarding force in the world and has completed 50 years of its raising.
The students took keen interest to know about the functioning of BSF and expressed their desire to join the force as an officer for serving the nation.
Father S Joseph, Principal of the St. Francis Higher Secondary School, who was accompanying the students, hoped that such an event would have ever lasting imprint in the memories of the students and will motivate them to join the BSF.
