JAMMU: The BSF Ankur Play School on Friday organised its maiden sports meet involving young children in various sports activities at the Hargobind Sagar (BSF) Stadium, Paloura, here.
These young students experienced the thrills of games like athletics, judo and kick boxing under the guidance of qualified coaches of the BSF School.
Accompanied by the teachers, young children took part in march past, followed by events like hurdle race, hopping race, discuss throw, biscuit eating race, kick the can, hug the balloon, pin bowling, relay race, football and table soccer.
The tiny tots also presented cultural items. The winners of various games were awarded with medals and certificates. Their parents, who had turned out in large numbers for the event, boosted their enthusiasm.
President of BSF Wives Welfare Association, Jammu Frontier, Pratibha Sharma was Chief Guest, who interacted with the young students and encouraged them in their endeavour to excel in life.
She said that every student must participate in at least one sporting event instead of getting hooked to electronic media. She lauded the efforts of the team managing BSF Ankur Play School for organising such event.
Earlier, Head Master of the BSF Primary School, Gayatri Kotwal presented a brief note of the sports activities of the school.
