JAMMU: Bharat Rakhsha Manch (BRM) on Sunday demanded immediate deportation of Rohingyas from the J&K State.
Briefing media persons here, Raghunandan Sharma, National President BRM said Rohingyas, Bangladeshis and other foreign nationals are illegally staying near the sensitive and vital installations like railway tracks, bridges, airport, defence establishments and other locations as they are not only eating up the limited resources of Jammu but also becoming a threat to the security of the country. He said it’s a matter of serious concern that from where these foreign nationals are getting ration cards, Aadhaar cards, etc. The settlement of foreign national will directly effect on the demography of Jammu region, he asserted.
Sharma also expressed concern over the attack on Sunjwa Army camp in which six soldiers have been martyred and just after a week’s time the stone pelting was incident was happened by some anti-national elements on the same army camp. He termed the decision of the State Government to release more than 5,000 stone pelters without facing trial in the Court of Law as self goal and suicidal.
Shouting of pro-Pakistan slogans in the Valley has become a norm and the limit has been crossed when a Legislator in the J&K Assembly raised such slogans and he has not been punished either by the House nor FIR has been lodged against him for sedition, he said.
“The MLAs who are coalition partners must take up all these issues to its logical conclusion and if they are- unable to do that they should walk out of the coalition and let the State be ruled by the Central Government directly by imposing President’s rule,” Sharma said.
Sharma called upon the people of Jammu to exert pressure on their elected representatives to either ensure that Jammu is not ignored in matters of development, employment in government services and equal share in allocation of funds.
Sharma further asserted that the schemes sponsored by the Central Government such as Mudra Loan, Prime Minister Awass Yojna, Skill Development and various other schemes are not being implemented in Jammu region in the manner in which it should have been. He said that the Chief Minister has issued unlawful directions through the Tribal Welfare Department for not providing police protection for eviction of illegal occupants of State land. This act of the Chief Minister is a clear violation of various Acts and provisions of IPC, he added.
National Convenor Suryakant Kelkar, National General Secretary Anil Dhir, National Secretary Niraj Shrivastava, National Vice President Vinod Kumar Gupta and J&K Pradesh Treasurer, Rajendra Malhotra were also present.
