Brahmin Sabha celebrates Parshuram Jayanti with full enthusiasm & religious fervour

RAJOURI: Parshuram jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and religious fervour in Rajouri town in which large no.of devotees participated from surrounding areas. It is pertinent to mention here that a huge rally of Bikes and Cars were taken out by the members of Brahmin community on the occasion to mark the celebrations in which about 200 to 250 bikes were participated in the rally.The rally started from Dudhadhari Temple and passed through Tariq Bridge, Tehsil office, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Town Hall and then finally culminated at Shiv mandir old bus stand where the members of the Brahmin Sabha organised and kept some stalls for refreshment and addressed the gathering.
During the rally, devotees chanted the slogans in the praise of Bagawan Parshuram while showing their solidarity towards the cause of knowledge with power as preached.People irrespective of caste and creed participated in observing this mega day.The prashad facility was also organized by the members of Brahmin community at Mandir. Devotees then took Parshad and paid their whole hearted obeisance to Bagawan Parshuram who according to Hindu mythology is the 6th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The word Parshuram is derived from two words Parshu means axe and Rama means Lord Rama. So, literally the world Parshurama means Rama with an axe.While addressing the gathering, the speakers appealed the people from all the communities to maintain peace and brotherhood in the region.
“We are very happy to see such kind of enthusiasm in our youth for organising such religious functions and next year we will try to do better arrangements and also appealed to the youth that they should away from drugs and narcotics”, said Pt. Ashwani Sharma, Founder Member, Brahmin Sabha, Rajouri. Also, speaking on the occasion, Kapil Saryal, President of the Sabha thanked everyone for their contribution and support to make the rally a successful one. Prominent personalities who present on the occasion were, Kapil Saryal, President, Brahmin Sabha, Rajouri, Pt. Ashwani Sharma, Yogesh Sharma, Karan Saryal, Atul Sharma, Sahil Sharma, Vijay Guru, Vikrant Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Susheel Sharma, Subash Sharma, Ramesh Bali, Nirman Singh, Pushpinder Gupta, Vishal Pahari and others.
In another function, a “Yagyopaveet Sanskar” and Mundan ceremony was also held at SVS Gyan Ganga Mathh, Sunderbani on the occasion to mark the celebrations under the able guidance of HH Atal Peethadeshwar Rajguru Acharaya Mahamandleshwar Shri Shri 1008 Shri Swami Vishwatamanand Saraswatiji Maharaj. The Yagyopaveet Sanskar is performed to channelize the personality development. Students from Punjab, Mumbai, Ullasnagar and many other areas took part in this ceremony. The initiation of the Gayatri Mantra and experiments of spiritual elevation is associated with this Sanskar.”Such kind of ceremonies are very helpful to improve, uplift and benefit for the society because it gives us knowledge about ourself and our Karma. A “Dev Yatra” in the form of Rally should be taken out on this day”, added Swamiji.
