BR Kundal to contest as Independent candidate from RS Pura
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Former Chief Secretary and sitting MLC, B.R
Kundal, who has failed to win the confidence of the party
high command, on Thursday decided to contest as
Independent candidate from RS Pura Assembly
Constituency.
“My all efforts in revival of Indian National Congress in RS
Pura, coupled with unflinched commitments to serve the
people made me a victim of conspiracy hatched by a
coterie of discredited and dishonest persons that
ultimately have forced me to rethink on my relationship
with the party,” he told reporters here today.
With this treatment it is difficult to continue being a
member of Congress Party which dishonors its dedicated
members rather humiliates them, he said.
By disregarding the better credentials of its members the
party stands exposed to be under the control of vested
interest, he said.
Under the pressure of the party workers, Kundal said, he
decided to stand as an Independent from RS Pura
(Reserve) Assembly Segment for 2014 General Elections.
