RAJOURI: Police on Sunday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing four animals from the clutches of smugglers.
As per the details, a police team headed by In-Charge Police Post Lam SI Ashish Choudhary, on a specific information laid a Naka at Qilla Darhal Chowk and foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing four bovines.
A case vide FIR No 145/16 under section 188 RPC 3PCA was registered at Police Post Lam against the accused namely Mohd. Shokat son of Mohd. Iqbal resident of Rani Badetar Tehsil Qilla Darhal Dist. Rajouri who escaped from spot taking advantage of darkness.
The Naka was laid under the directions of SHO Nowshera and SDPO Nowshera Nawaz Chouhan and under the supervision of SSP Rajouri Atul Sharma.
