BOSE conducts programme on adolescence education

JAMMU: The J and K State Adolescence Education Cell of J and K State BOSE conducted State level role play competition on Adolescence Education Programme at GHSS (B) Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
A total of ten teams from 10 DIETs of Jammu Division participated in the programme.
On the occasion, Chairman, J and K State BOSE, Prof. Nutan Kumar Resutra was the Chief Guest. He motivated the participants with his perceptions and thought provoking speech on adolescence education. Whereas, Secretary, J and K State BOSE, Prof. Veena Pandita, who was the Guest of Honour, delivered insightful speech with her visionary ideas and thoughts.
The programme was organised to select a team for participation at national level role play competition at New Delhi. Various themes viz. process of growing up, charms and challenges of adolescence, healthy relationships among adolescents, HIV/AIDS-stigmatisation and cause and impact of drug abuse were highlights of the programme.
For the evaluation of this competition, Dr. Sarbjeet Kour, Dr. Shivali Gupta and Dr. Pawan Khajuria acted as judges.
The teams from District Jammu, District Reasi and District Poonch were declared as first, second and third in the competition.
In the beginning, Dr. Yasir Hamid Sirwal, Project Officer-JD welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of adolescence education in the present contemporary era.
Tahira Parveen, Principal, GHSS (B) also spoke on the occasion.
Sureshta Dogra, Dy. Director (Acad.) presented vote of thanks.
