SRINAGAR: Awantipora Police arrested a bootlegger and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.
Acting on specific information, a police party headed by SHO Police Station Tral apprehended a man identified as Tariq Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Gani Sheikh, resident of Kanilwan Bijbehara Anantnag. On his search 20 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered. Police has registered a case FIR number 28/2016 under Section 50 Excise Act against him and further investigation has been taken up.
