Bootlegger held with 50 bottles of liquor

KATRA: Railways Police on Wednesday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 50 bottles of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, GRP officers/officials who were performing duty at frisking point of exit gate of Railway Station Katra noticed a person who was trying to escape from the police personnel deployed for frisking duties. On interception and checking, police recovered 50 bottles of liquor from his possession.
The accused was identified as Sanjeev Singh son of Rashpaul Singh resident of Tara Tehsil Dansal District Jammu and was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 02/2017 under 188 RPC 48-A Excise Act was registered against him at Police Station GRP Katra. The arrest was made under the close supervision of Ranjit Singh Sambyal, SSP Railways Katra and Kamlesh Shoor, SDPO Railways Katra.
