KATRA: Police on Tuesday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 40 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report , a police party led by SI Vikas Jarotia, In-Charge Police Post Kakryal under the supervision of Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO Police Station Katra, acting on a specific information laid a special Naka at Kakryal. During checking/frisking, police apprehended one person namely Maatam Singh son of Prem Singh resident of Panthal Tehsil Katra who was on his way towards Katra and recovered 40 poly pouches of J and K Excise Liquor from his possession. The accused person was arrested and a case vide FIR No.36/2016 under section 48-A Excise Act was registered at Police Station Katra against him.
