RAMBAN: Police on Thursday arrested a bootlegger and destroyed an illegal still, 60 liters Lohan and 7-8 litres of illicit liquor.
According to a report, acting on specific information, a party led by ASI Latief Ahmed, In-Charge Police Post Ind under the supervision of SHO Gool, Dy.SP Ops Gool Vipan Chanderan and SSP Ramban raided at Village Chachua Mora Sungni near the house of one Roop Chand son of Mir Chand. During the raid police found an illegal still which was destroyed on the spot and 60 liters Lohan, 7-8 litres of illicit liquor was also destroyed. Accordingly a case under relevant section has been registered and accused Roop Chand arrested.
