RAMBAN: A driver who went missing last evening after a boulder hit his vehicle on Srinagar-Jammu Highway, was found dead on Friday afternoon.
According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Ayaz Ahmad son of Abdul Qayoom Wani who was driving a passenger vehicle , from Shopain to Jammu and was hit by a large sliding stone at Battery Chashma in Ramban, and fell into a 200-ft deep gorge.
QRT Ramban and local volunteers launched a rescue operation and recovered his body today afternoon, an official said.
