BLSKS spreads awareness on World Diabetes Day

JAMMU: To mark World Diabetes Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan organised a programme to spread awareness among the masses about diabetes and other such diseases including hypertension.
The programme was inaugurated by former Deputy Director, Health Department, Dr. Tara Singh Charak by lighting the traditional lamp. Former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, V.K Magotra, Chief Service Engineer, Exide, Vinod Dogra, Producer Director IPTA Vijay Malla and Dr. Anju Dogra and R.P Amla were the Guests of Honour.
Awareness item specially prepared on the theme of diabetes and hypertension viz dance drama Madhunashni was presented to spread mass awareness.
Various songs and dance items were also presented to mark the theme of the day.
The play was written and directed by M.L Dogra, Chairman Bhartiya Lok Sangeet and Music was composed by Raju Bajgal. The programme was organised in collaboration with ESRM and Unison Cultural Troupe.
Artists Usha Handoo, K.K Joshi, M.C Kotwal, Neelam Gandotra, Kamli Devi, Hem Raj, Gauri Lal, Kuldeep Raj, Bodh Raj, Bhomika Chib, Neelam Chib, Rakshit Sharma, Sarvagaya Sharma, Druv Pandit, Rahul Wanchoo, Mohammad, Afroz, Avtar Kour, Kamla Devi, Najuk, Suraj Parkesh, Rakesh Katoch, Deevam Jandiyal, Sant Dass enthralled the audience with their performances.
