JAMMU: To promote the traditional culture of J and K, and Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with ESRM, on Saturday presented its 113th musical play Ped Lagao Desh Bachao at Durga Bhawan Park , Janipur here. The theme of the play was Save Trees Safe Life which speaks of preserving the natural resources at grass root level across the globe. The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest J.K Raina, Producer, Director Films. V.K Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department J and K Government of India were the Guests of Honour while Mohan Lal Verma, Ajit Kumar, Uttam Chand, K.K Joshi and Hem Raj were also present. Skits, slogans, songs and dances were presented to aware the masses. The music was composed by renowned singer Raju Bajgal.
M.L Dogra, Chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan asked to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet earth and highlighted the importance of the day. The singers, musicians, actors and students who performed in the musical play were Bhuvan Pandit, Sakshi Kumari, Harshita Bhat, Asha Bhat, L-Danika, Dhruv Pandit , Ritesh Magotra, Samarth Gupta, Deevam Jandiyal, Sunny Manhas , Rakshit Sharma , Darsh Kachroo , Rajveer Sharma, Kajal, Sunil Kumar , Ananaya Anthal and Ayush Bhat. Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks.
