JAMMU: To celebrate 96th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and to promote traditional culture of J&K, artists of Bharatiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan paid floral tributes to Atal Bihari Vajpayee in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production & JK Bhoomi Human Welfare Society by presenting musical concert ‘Geet Naya Gata Hun’ at Durga Bhawan Janipur. The programme was inaugurated by the V K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, who was the Chief Guest while J K Raina, Freelancer – Producer Director Films; J K Koul, Freelancer writer, producer Director and Chief Patron JK Bhoomi Welfare Society, Dr Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K Government were the Guests of Honour.
The welcome speech was delivered by M L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS. He also highlighted contributions of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari and talked about his life-history.
The singers, musicians, actors and students who participated in the event included Usha Handoo, K K Joshi, M C Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Raju Bajgal, Kamla Devi, Bindia Arora, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Chahat Chadha, Jatinder Jutshi, Vijay Raina, Daizy Bazaz, Susheel Bhat, Vinay Pandita, Ramesh Pandita, Rahul Pandita, Anmol Raj and Kamal Sagar.
