More than 600 people have been killed since Ramazan started on 7th June. Of all the incidents hacking of 20 foreigners in Dhaka was the worst form of brutality one can think of being carried out by zealots. Dhaka, Baghdad, Istanbul, Medina – the world has been bleeding this year and it had never bled as much as it has in the holy month of Ramazan. Such was the fury of these terrorists they didn’t even spare Medina – the Mosque of Prophet itself was shaken by four blasts. Ramazan began on 7th June and ever since not a single week passed when the terrorists didn’t strike and caused mayhem. A week into the month of Ramazan, a gay nightclub in Florida’s Orlando in US was attacked which left 49 people dead and 53 people injured. On 25th June, Pakistan based Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists attacked a CRPF convoy, killing eight jawans and leaving 25 of them injured. Later Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said that she couldn’t comprehend how such barbaric killings could be carried out in the month of Ramazan. At least six members of Jordan’s security forces were killed on 21st June in a suicide car bombing launched from the Syrian side of the border. Lebanon saw six people dead and 19 others wounded following a series of suicide attacks in a mainly Christian area of northern Lebanon, close to the border with Syria. In Yemen at least 42 people, mostly soldiers and one child, were killed when attackers launched four suicide car bombings. Turkey saw 44 deaths in the Ataturk Airport attack. Gunmen in Bangladesh hacked 20 hostages and two police officers before authorities raided the restaurant and ended the standoff. The massacre occurred at the end of the day when Muslims would have been breaking their daily fast for Ramazan. A suicide truck bomb ripped through a busy shopping district in Baghdad on last Saturday night, killing more than 200 people. Families had been gathering hours after they broke the fast for Ramazan and prepared for Eid ul-Fitr — the day that marks the end of the holiday this week. Saudi Arabia endured a wave of suicide bombings over a 24-hour period ending Monday, a coordinated string of attacks analysts are linking to ISIS.
