BJYM seeks ban on sale of Maggi noodles

LEH: Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Leh on Wednesday sought immediate ban on the sale of Maggi noodles in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir.
The demand was highlighted in a meeting of the executive members of Morcha which was chaired Dorje Angchuk District President, BJYM Leh.
Deliberating on the reports regarding health hazards associated with Maggi brand noodles, the meeting resolved to approach the LAHDC Leh and the administration to seek immediate ban on the sale of Maggi in the District.
In this connection, a letter was written to Executive Councillor CA&PD, LAHDC Leh requesting him to instruct the concerned officials to ensure that sale of this brand of noodles should be banned. BJYM also resolved to spread awareness on the issue for educating people especially the youth.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal State Spokesperson and Incharge Ladakh Affairs, Tsewang Norphel Public Relation Officer to Minister for Cooperative, Tashi Yakzi District Secretary BJYM and Konchok Stanzin Vice President BJYM and Mandal President Durbuk were also present.
