JAMMU: BJP is working to boost development, tourism and peace in Jammu and Kashmir with computers in the hands of youth, while 3 dynastic parties want to push the Union Territory into the turmoil and hand stones and AK 47 to the youth, said BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh.
‘Corrupt people will not be tolerated’
Jammu: Asserting that the BJP came to power with a commitment to not tolerate corruption, party national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Tuesday said that corrupt individuals will face consequences.
The BJP leader was responding to questions regarding the ongoing searches in the residence of former minister Choudhary Lal Singh currently a Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party leader in Kathua and allegations by opposition parties that central agencies are being used to silence them.
“Corrupt people will not be tolerated. The BJP had come to power with this commitment to the people of this country,” Chugh told reporters here.
“Corrupt individuals will face consequences. The ED is an independent agency that operates based on its own information and investigations,” he said.
Tarun Chugh, along with BJP President Jammu and Kashmir Ravinder Raina, Seh-Prabhari BJP J&K Ashish Sood, General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul, General Secretary Sunil Sharma, Adv. Vibodh Gupta and Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal and senior leader Devender Singh Rana was addressing a workshop on ‘Booth Jana Sampark Maha Abhiyaan’ at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
He said the BJP is following the struggle and the ideology initiated by Pt. Prem Nath Dogra ji since 1950. He said that now BJP and earlier Jana Sangha have a history of continued struggle against the oppression and the wave of separatism initiated by the Nehru-Gandhi family and Abdullah family. He said that these families joined by the Mufti family have destroyed the socio-economic and security structure of Jammu and Kashmir through all these decades.
Chugh said that while the whole of the nation was integrated by Sardar Patel, Jammu & Kashmir was mishandled by Pt. Nehru, but now the unfinished task to integrate the J&K has been completed by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
He reiterated the BJP’s stand that we would not allow even an inch of J&K’s soil under the illegal occupation and recalled the struggle under the slogan ‘Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan, Ek Samvidhan’.
Chugh said that these parties vitiated the atmosphere of J&K and made it volatile to the extent that it served as a source of Ak-47, bombs and grenades for the gullible youth. The BJP has now handed over the computer, development and the tourism to the youth for their better future, he added.
Chugh said that while the BJP is talking of development, NC, DP, and Congress talks of bringing back Article 370 and we are committed that we would never allow Article 370 to return, as it has caused enough devastation earlier. The J&K is on the way to a major transformation under the Modi government, added Chugh.
Chugh termed this as a struggle of ideologies, as BJP envisions strengthening democracy, and development and opposition parties want to promote nepotism at the cost of innocent lives. He said that these parties glamorized terrorists and separatism and we should not forget how these parties allowed the whole J&K to burn on the direction of Pakistan.
