STATE TIMES NEWS
NEW DELHI: Hailing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s historic victory in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the emergence of BJP as a force to reckon with in Jammu and Kashmir vindicated the martyrdom of the organisation’s founding father Dr. Shyama Parsad Mukherjee.
Over sixty years ago, Singh recalled, Mukherjee had made a commitment on the soil of Jammu and Kashmir and in the pursuit of his mission, laid down his life in a Kashmir prison. It is a strange turn of providence that the task of vindicating Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s sacrifice was to be performed by the present generation of BJP’s Karyakartas for which all of us feel proud and are also conscious of the huge responsibility entrusted on us.
Singh said, BJP is a party based on sound ideological principles and its core agenda is development with justice for all and appeasement to none.
Thanking the people of Jammu and Kashmir and congratulating the BJP cadre, Singh said, as predicted by him, BJP has assumed a significant role in the new political dispensation of Jammu and Kashmir which can neither be ignored nor underestimated.
Singh said, BJP is committed to ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the State without discrimination and also to undo the mistakes and grievances of the past.
Regarding the future course of action, Singh said, as stated by the National President Amit Shah, all the options are open and a threadbare discussion on the issue will take place during the meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Board scheduled for tomorrow.
