BJP team reaches Pak firing affected areas
R S PURA: A team of BJP leaders visited border areas, including Arnia and Sugahpur, which have been badly affected by Pak firing. The team was led by BJP State Vice-President Ramesh Arora (Adv.), along with Ex-Servicemen Cell Convener Brig. Anil Gupta, State Office Secretary Rajinder Sharma, MLA Ashwani Sharma and other leaders.
The team visited different houses damaged in Pak firing and also met the families of the persons killed and injured.
Ramesh Arora while expressing sympathies with the bereaved families and condoling the deaths of their near and dear ones, said that Pakistan Army has been indulging in unprovoked firing thus violating all norms by resorting shelling at civilian population.
Arora said that it is time when our forces should retaliate strongly to send a strong message to Pakistan, he further said that people of border areas are brave enough and are ready to face any consequences but wanted that Pak forces should not be spared for killing innocents.
Arora further stated that State Government has failed to provide land / alternative accommodation to Jammu based people residing in border areas due to their wrong policies. He also demanded ex-gratia compensation to the families of the victims of firing.
He demanded ex-gratia relief of Rs. 10 lakh to next of kin of killed due to shelling and Rs. 2 lakh to each injured, permanent Govt. job and 5 Marla plot as temporary measure for the person residing in border area.
MLA Ashwani Sharma demanded stern action against Pakistan and relief and rehabilitation of all displaced persons.
Brig. Anil Gupta said it is high time to attack vital installations of Pakistan Army to stop killing of innocent persons as a strategical measure, damaged office and shops be compensated properly.
