JAMMU: BJP has deceived the people by surrendering development projects of Jammu to PDP. This was stated by General Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee and Incharge Nagrota Constituency Namrta Sharma while launching party’s membership drive here on Sunday.
She said that BJP has been exposed on all the fronts. “BJP has surrendered the interest of Jammu region to its coalition partner in order to stay in power. The BJP has made false promises and now the unholy alliance which is rather a power sharing agreement has proved total failure due to lack of vision for betterment of Jammu”, she further said.
Namrta lambasted BJP for outrightly selling the development projects meant for Jammu to PDP. She alleged that prestigious AIIMS which was sanctioned for Jammu has been shifted to Kashmir by the BJP and now the project of making the artificial lake in Jammu has also been shelved by the same party which claimed to be the custodian of Jammu.
She maintained that Congress party has always stood for the cause of Jammu and will not sit idle till one AIIMS for Jammu is sanctioned.
The meeting was organised by senior Congress leader and former MLA Th. Shiv Dev Singh. He appealed to people for strengthening the party. Senior Congress leader and Secretary PCC Ashok Sharma, Komal Vaid, Block President Vijay Singh and Baldev Sharma were also present.
