BJP spokesperson Dr Tahir thanks PM for organising G-20 meeting in J&K

JAMMU: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and spokesperson, Dr Tahir Choudhary thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for organising G-20 meeting in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Choudhary said that this is a great achievement for the people of Jammu and Kashmir as the first time major international event to be organised in the Union Territory.
“Jammu and Kashmir is being considered one of the potential venues to G-20 meetings due to polices adopted by government after the abrogation of Article 370,” he said.
Dr Tahir said that the event will put Jammu and Kashmir on a higher pedestal by hosting such international event.
Dr Tahir said that since the abrogation of Article 370, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken several proactive steps for the development of the Union Territory.
“The J&K which has been always in the spotlight for terrorism activities, now gaining momentum towards the development of the state’s infrastructure and international as well as national event,” he said.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the J&K has become one of the few states in India which is having both IIT and IIM. He further said that the government has made necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra. He informed that Centre and Union Home Minister, Amit Shah is personally reviewing all the arrangements for the annual pilgrimage.
