BJP seeks probe in misappropriation of Rs 27 crore allotted for renovation of migrant colonies

JAMMU: BJP J&K Kashmir Displaced District expressed concern over the misappropriation of Rs 27 crore funds allotted for renovation of migrant colonies at Nagrota, Jagti, Muthi, Purkhoo, Buta Nagar and some other places in Kashmir Valley.
In the meeting held here on Tuesday, President BJP J&K Kashmir Displaced District, Chand Jee Bhat hailed the statement given by BJP MLCs Surender Ambardar and Mohmad Sofi Yousuf in the House and the news carried by some papers. “The statement vindicates our stand that Relief Comm-issionerate has completely failed to come up to the expectations of the inmates of the said camp,” he added. While lambasting the role of Relief Commissionerate, General Secretary, P.L Dhar said despite our repeated representations and verbal pleas the officers and the officials of the said organization totally failed to response.
He further said that astonishing feature of the ruptures in the said construction is lack of primary concentration and leakage in sewerage pipes creating panic in the minds of the inmates of the said camps.
Vice President, Ravinder Razdan (Raina) demanded probe into the matter and said whosoever is involved should be booked under the law. Chand Jee Bhat demanded that four member committee of State legislators be constituted to probe into the alleged scam and other problems displaced community is confronted with. Others who participated in the meeting include J.L Pandita, Bharat Bushan Bhat Gosani, Chaman Lal Pandita, A.K Sher and Sanjay Bhat.
